Handan announces steel production restrictions
Handan city in China's Hebei province has launched a level II heavy air pollution reaction plan effective from 00:00 hours on 24 January to 24:00 hours on 26 January, according to the local government. Tangshan also announced similar steel restrictions over the same period yesterday, which require reducing emissions levels from steel production by -30%, Kallanish notes.
