Global stainless demand to rise 3.4% in 2016, BIR summit hears
Global stainless steel production will increase 3.4% on-year in 2016 to 43.421 million tonnes after a strong fourth quarter takes output growth in 2015 to 0.4%, according to Gerhard Pariser, senior consultant at Heinz H. Pariser Alloy Metals & Steel Market Research. The scale of growth, however, is seen depending heavily on China increasing its domestic and export demand.
