Global economic woes push Schnitzer into red
Steel recycler and longs maker Schnitzer Steel Industries posted a loss in the quarter ended 30 November. This was as a result of a variety of macro-economic factors, Kallanish learns from the company’s fiscal first quarter earnings report.
Schnitzer lost $5 million on revenues of $321m, down from a loss of $2m on revenues of $554m in fiscal Q1 2015.
