German steel output continues to fall
The downward trend in production in Germany’s steel industry has intensified, Kallanish learns from steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl).
Crude steel production in Germany fell by as much as -8.7% in April compared with the same month of the previous year, and compares with a decline of -4.9% in the first four months this year. Last year at this time, crude production had already fallen by just under -4% year-on-year.
