German scrap prices stable, market expects subdued trading
German scrap prices have remained flat in mid-April due to weak demand from domestic steel mills and reduced exports, say local market participants.
“The market continues to be very quiet and there is not much trading activity for the moment,” a scrap collector in Bavaria tells Kallanish. “We’ll see in the next weeks if Turkey will start to import more scrap.”
