German scrap prices remain flat amid quiet market
German scrap prices are stable in mid-February due to low demand from domestic steel mills and reduced exports, say local market participants. Sources do not expect big changes in the market in the next weeks amid low activity.
“The market is very quiet and there are not much trading or new deals,” a scrap collector tells Kallanish. “Shipments abroad are also at low level.”
