German scrap prices increase slightly, market stable
German scrap prices have remained mostly stable in June due to an unchanged domestic market and reduced exports, say local market participants. Sources do not expect big changes for the rest of the month.
“In some parts of Germany, there were some increases of about €5-8/tonne ($5-8.6/t), but here in southern Germany prices are at the same levels as in May,” a scrap collector in Bavaria tells Kallanish.
