German scrap prices see relatively modest fall in April
The significant fall in scrap prices seen in late March has only partially been reflected in Germany’s monthly scrap negotiations.
First discussions early this month would have resulted in a month-on-month fall of well above €30/tonne ($32.50/t). As the month advanced however, prices rose again and the monthly gap closed according to recycling federation BDSV. On average, the difference came to less than €20/t up to mid-month.
