German scrap market expects stable prices in June
German scrap prices remained stable in May due to low demand from domestic steel mills and reduced exports, say local market participants. Sources do not expect big changes next month due to a quiet market in Europe.
“Although scrap demand from domestic plants was a little better than expected, it was accompanied by a weak order situation,” a scrap collector in Bavaria tells Kallanish.
