German raw steel output improves on-year in July

Crude steel production in Germany increased year-on-year in July, albeit on the back of weak output in the year-before period, local steelmakers’ association WV Stahl tells Kallanish. July raw steel output rose by 4% y-o-y to 3.5 million tonnes, having previously seen two months of on-year decline. Overall year-to-date production remains stable, the association says.
