German partners research new DRI slags
A new joint project in Germany aims to further develop steel slag for the cement and building materials industry and save CO2 and resources in the process.
The project is headed by research institute Fraunhofer Umsicht and involves Institut für Baustoff-Forschung e.V. (Institute for Building Materials Research), thyssenkrupp Steel, and Heidelberg Cement.
