German industry continues gradual growth
Steel output at German mills has stabilized over the course of 2016, with orders for rolled products in the summer quarter (July to September) up 2% year-on-year, Kallanish learns from steel federation WV Stahl.
This was the third consecutive quarterly on-year increase, the federation notes. The order backlog at the end of September stood at 6.7 million tonnes, which was 25% above September 2015 but still low, the federation says.
