German fabricators’ growth slows, optimism remains
Production by Germany’s steel-using industries continued to grow year-on-year in the 9-month period ending in September 2018. Growth was however to a lesser degree than expected, Kallanish learns from their federation, Wirtschaftsverband Stahl- und Metallverarbeitung (WSM).
In the third quarter of the year, production rose by 2.5% on-year, but was -1.1% down quarter-on-quarter. Growth rates had gradually declined in each quarter over the course of the year…
