German EAF production sees steeper drop in June
Crude steel output at Germany’s mills from January through June this year totalled 19.56 million tonnes, down 5.5% than in the first half of 2021.
June confirmed the trend and in fact magnified it somewhat, with a year-on-year difference of 7%, giving output of 3.19mt, Kallanish learns from national steel association WV Stahl.
