German crude steel production remains weak
Crude steel production at German mills remains weak, despites some apparent increases in September, national federation WV Stahl writes in its latest statistics.
At 2.84 million tonnes, overall output that month was actually 2.1% higher than in September last year, which however was characterised by production cuts at both oxygen and EAF route mills. September 2022 output saw a year-on-year drop of 15%.
