German crude steel production keeps dipping

Crude steel production at German mills kept decreasing in October, when output totalled 3.14 million tonnes, a remarkable 14% lower than in October 2021, according to steel federation WV Stahl. The drop is related to the curbing or idling of blast furnace activity at ArcelorMittal and Salzgitter, Kallanish notes.
