Gerdau signs natural gas transport contract with NTS
Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau will significantly reduce natural gas supply costs to its Ouro Branco mill, Kallanish learns from the company.
The steelmaker has signed a long-term transport agreement with local Nova Transportadora do Sudeste (NTS) effective 29 November. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to the agreement, NTS will build a pipeline to secure natural gas supplies to the unit in Minas Gerais state in an open environment.
