GCC oil&gas supports pipe import control: pipemakers' alliance
The Steel Alliance Against Counterfeiting (SAAC) claims the majority of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s oil & gas industry supports the tightening of controls on imports of pipe from certain markets.
SAAC, whose members include ArcelorMittal, Nippon Steel, Tenaris, Vallourec and Interpipe, last year urged authorities to combat the growing tonnage of “…counterfeit” steel products in the Middle East (see Kallanish 16 November 2016)…
