French stainless scrap prices increase
Stainless steel scrap prices have increased slightly month-on-month in France and Belgium, in line with other European countries. This is mostly due to a structural shortage of the most popular grades, Kallanish notes.
Sources confirm demand this month has been at good levels for the 304 and 316 grades from both long and flat steel producers, coupled with higher prices of nickel.
