French government proposes loan support for Eramet
The French government may support the New Caledonian Société le Nickel (SLN), with a new loan of €200 million ($227.5m), prime minister Manuel Valls said during a state visit to SLN last week. This amount should help the company to cover its financial needs until 2018, he said. SLN is the nickel production subsidiary of French mining company Eramet, Kallanish notes.
