New Vietnam blast furnace nears commissioning
The first 2.5 million tonnes/year Formosa Ha Tinh Steel blast furnace built by steelmaking equipment suppliers CISDI will soon be in production according to CISDI parent company Metallurgical Corporation of China. When the steelworks is fully commissioned, it' production could start to replace some of Vietnam’s steel imports, Kallanish notes.
