Formosa starts Vietnam wire rod plant, HRC follows

The new Formosa Ha Tinh steelworks in Vietnam has begun production at its 600,000 tonnes/year wire rod line, according to project contractor China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC). The plant is also expected to begin its 5.3 million t/y hot strip mill, Kallanish notes.
