Vietnam asks Formosa Ha Tinh to pay back taxes
New Vietnamese integrated steelworks Formosa Ha Tinh has been asked to pay VND 255 billion ($11.6m) in back taxes. The mill has had a troubled relationship with various levels of Vietnamese government as the country welcomes the investment, but does not want to give away too much, especially as the plant has been caught up in international disputes, Kallanish notes.
