Formosa Ha Tinh targets 7 million tonnes/year output
Formosa Ha Tinh’s crude steel capacity is moving towards 7 million tonnes/year, Kallanish understands. Vietnam's first and sole hot strip producer started running its second 3.5m t/y blast furnace in May this year, around a year after the start-up of its first blast furnace of same capacity.
With the two furnaces running at their designed capacities, the company plans to produce around 5.2m t/y of HRC and 1.2m t/y of wire rod.…
