Ford US to invest billions following new contract
US Big Three automaker Ford has promised about $9 billion in new domestic investment as part of its tentative labour deal with the United Autoworkers (UAW), Kallanish understands.
“With commitments from Ford to fully utilise and invest in US facilities, job security is strengthened and job growth promised,” the UAW says in a negotiations update. “The investment is expected to result in 8,500 new or secured jobs.”
