Ford to build new Mexican plant, UAW objects
US automaker Ford plans to build a $1.6 billion automobile factory in Mexico’s San Luis Potosi state, a move that has rankled the United Autoworkers (UAW) labour union.
Ford will begin construction on the plant over the summer. Production is slated to begin in 2018, Kallanish understands.
