FMG worker tests positive for Covid-19
Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) says a maintenance contractor received a “weak positive” test result for Covid-19, and the worker is currently in isolation awaiting the outcome of further testing, Kallanish notes.
This person worked at Cloudbreak iron ore mine in Western Australia from 20 to 27 July, and was asymptomatic during that period. The company is working with the Department of Health to assist with contact tracing.
