FMG to deliver Eliwana iron ore
Australian mining company Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) plans to deliver the first iron ore into its Eliwana processing plant during this week. The miner also scheduled the first ore loaded on a train headed to port in late December, Kallanish notes.
The Eliwana project includes a 30 million tonne/year dry processing facility and a 143km rail line. This new railway line links to Port Hedland through the existing Fortescue Hamersley railway line.
