Fortescue names its first VLOC
Australia’s Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) has named its first very large ore carrier (VLOC) FMG Nicola ahead of its maiden voyage, the company tells Kallanish. The miner plans to take delivery of eight VLOCs by mid-2018, helping it to reduce logistics costs.
