FMG secures Port Hedland tug licence
Australian iron ore miner FMG has secured a licence to operate tug boats through its Pilbara Marine subsidiary. The contract breaks the monopoly held at the port by BHP Billiton, and FMG hopes the competition will ensure lower logistics costs at the port, Kallanish notes.
