FMG contracts John Holland for Eliwana railway construction
Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) has signed a contract with John Holland, an infrastructure and rail company, for the construction of a 143km railway for its Eliwana iron ore project in Pilbara, Western Australia, Kallanish notes.
This new railway line is expected to be linked to Port Hedland through the existing Fortescue Hamersley railway line. The contract is worth $90 million and will create 400 jobs.
