EU flats imports fall, longs jump: Eurometal
In January-May imports of products currently under investigation within the new possible EU safeguard system increased 6.7% year-on-year from already high 2017 levels. While imports of flat products have corrected downward slightly, longs imports have jumped significantly, Eurometal explained in a recent presentation seen by Kallanish. The association expects the possible new safeguard measures to impact mainly the flats sector.
