Fitch raises coking coal, nickel price forecasts
Fitch Ratings has raised its coking coal price assumptions for 2022 and 2023, reflecting record pricing year-to-date due to disrupted supplies, Kallanish notes.
The ratings agency has raised hard coking coal (Australia premium spot, fob) price assumptions this year to $400/tonne from $300/t, and for next year to $200/t from $160/t.
It, however, maintains coking coal price assumptions in 2024, 2025 and long-term price assumptions at $140/t.
