New Ahmsa steel degasification plant nears completion
Altos Hornos de Mexico (Ahmsa) has given an update on one of its major investments, a new steel degasification station in electrical steel mill No 2 at its plant in Monclova, Mexico.
The project is now 58% completed the steelmaker says, and represents an investment of MXN 170 million ($8.7m). The main contractor is Mexico’s Trebotti, and equipment has been supplied by Siemens VAI and Primetals.
