Ferrexpo revenue rises despite lower sales volumes
High demand leading to record price premiums in the first half of 2018 helped Swiss-headquartered Ukrainian iron ore pellet producer Ferrexpo offset lower underlying iron ore prices and higher production costs.
Despite output falling -1.2% on-year to 5.1 million tonnes and sales volumes falling -5.3% to 4.9mt, the company generated H1 revenue of $617 million, up 4.4% on-year.
