Ferrexpo increases capacity expansion plan to 24mt
Ukraine-based Swiss-headquartered iron ore pellet producer Ferrexpo has adjusted guidance for its output expansion to 24 million tonnes/year in the next 5-8 years. Earlier expansion guidance was penned at 20m t/y by around 2023, Kallanish notes.
The company's Poltava Mining chairman, Victor Lotous, announced the plan during presentations at the end of last week, following the completion of the first stages of conceptual expansion planning.
