Ferrexpo reduces pellet production, eyes more seaborne shipments

Ukraine-based Ferrexpo’s iron ore pellet production declined in January-June to 4.8 million tonnes, down by 16% on-year, Kallanish notes. Output in the second quarter fell by 27% on-year to 2.1mt. The main reason for the drop is the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and associated logistics constraints, the enterprise says. In the first half of the year, the company produced 4.7mt of pellet with a content of 65% Fe, down by 13% on-year, and 90,000 tonnes with 67%…
