Ferrexpo reduces pellet production, eyes more seaborne shipments
Ukraine-based Ferrexpo’s iron ore pellet production declined in January-June to 4.8 million tonnes, down by 16% on-year, Kallanish notes. Output in the second quarter fell by 27% on-year to 2.1mt.
The main reason for the drop is the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and associated logistics constraints, the enterprise says.
