Ferrexpo pellet production slumps -9% in first quarter
Ferrexpo’s iron ore pellet production declined -9.1% on-year in the first quarter to 2.62 million tonnes. This is due to scheduled pellet line maintenance in January-February, as well as the 55-day pellet line refurbishment that began on 20 March.
Of Ferrexpo’s Q1 production, 2.47mt were premium 65% Fe pellets, down -10.5% on-year, while 151,600t were basic 62% Fe pellets, up 22.5%.
