Ferrexpo pellet output drops 3% in second quarter
Ferrexpo’s iron ore pellet production declined -3.3% on-quarter in the second quarter to 2.54 million tonnes, Kallanish learns from the Ukraine-based producer. Output of 65% Fe premium pellets fell only -1.7% to 2.43mt.
Iron ore pellet production in the first half of 2017 thus declined -9.8% on-year to 5.16mt due to a planned 55-day pellet line refurbishment. Premium pellet production fell -8.5% to 4.9mt and 62% Fe pellet output by -29.1% to 257,900t.
