Exports lift AMNS India first-quarter profitability, production stabilises

ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AMNS) India reported crude steel production of 1.8 million tonnes in the first quarter – versus 1.9mt in Q4 2020 – annualising at a rate of 7.3mt. Ebitda surged 47% on-quarter to $403 million, supported by a greater focus on exports markets.
