Exports drive KIOCL sales surge despite lockdown
State-owned Indian pellet maker KIOCL reported a 126% on-year surge in June quarter iron ore pellet sales to 568,000 tonnes. This was also above its target of 450,000t. Exports accounted for 521,000t.
June-quarter production surged 104% to 511,000t, above the target of 490,000t, Kallanish notes.
However, revenue in the quarter fell -27% to INR 43,671 lakhs ($58.3 million) and profit after tax dropped -28% to INR 1,202 lakhs.
