Export demand supports Turkey's March automotive output increase
Turkish automotive production grew further in March thanks to the strongly increasing trend in exports as the domestic market contracted more, Kallanish notes from the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD) monthly report.
March automotive production increased 23% year-on-year and 14% on-month to 157,729 vehicles. Passenger car output grew 42% to 109,443 units and commercial vehicle production fell -5% to 48,286 units.
