Explosion halts converter at Ahmsa
Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) has reported an accident at one of the company’s converters in the Siderúrgica 2 work area at its plant in Monclava, Coahuila state, Kallanish learns from a company statement.
According to the steelmaker, a leak from the water supply system caused an explosion in the convertor no.1. It is understood that four operators were injured in the incident.
