Ex-Angang chief becomes Minmetals chairman
On 29 January the ex-chairman of Anshan Iron & Steel (Angang) Tang Fuli was officially announced as the new chairman of China Minmetals. This is according to the Organisation Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
Tang was promoted from general manager to be chairman of Angang Group over February 2017 to Jan 2018. He successfully helped the Angang Group return to profit in 2017 after five years of losses, Kallanish notes.
