Evraz ships first rail to Europe
Evraz ZSMK has shipped 1,650 tonnes of 54E1 European standard rail to Greece for the expansion of the Athens Metro. This is the first batch of rail Evraz has delivered to a European customer, the Russian steelmaker tells Kallanish.
Last autumn Attiko Metro, the Athens Metro representatives, and J&P Avax, the Greek contractor, audited the production on site at ZSMK, and witnessed the complete rail testing.
