Evraz sales in Egypt surge in 2016
Evraz’s revenue generated in Egypt surged 221% on-year in 2016 to $138 million, while overall African revenue rose only 3% to $265m due to the slump at Highveld in South Africa, the Russian steelmaker says in its annual report.
However, revenue generated in United Arab Emirates slumped -55% on-year in 2016 to only $18m, while overall revenue in Evraz’s Asia segment rose 1% to $1.37 billion.
