Evraz hikes iron ore self-sufficiency with mine upgrade

Miner and steelmaker Evraz has begun an upgrade of its Tashtagol iron ore mine situated in the Kemerovo region, southwest Siberia, Kallanish learns. The upgrade will enable an increase in Evraz’s iron ore self-sufficiency by ramping up Tashtagol annual mining volumes from the current 2.2 million tonnes to 3.25mt in the second half of next year.
