Evraz NTMK begins new section production
Evraz NTMK has begun production of 40P C-sections – used to build structures that experience high loads during operation – at its rail mill. This makes it the only Russian producer of this product, Evraz says in a note sent to Kallanish.
The sections are 400mm high and made of low-alloy 09G2S grade steel, whose American equivalent is A 561 Gr70. This allows for their use in Russia’s Far North. By year-end the rail mill also plans to trial produ…
