Evraz launches new coking coal longwall at Esaulskaya
Russian miner and steelmaker Evraz has launched a new coal longwall at its Esaulskaya mine, part of Raspadskaya Coal Co., the company tells Kallanish.
The miners have begun working out the complex-mechanised longwall 29-30.
The reserves of the new mining area amount to 1.3 million tonnes of GZh grade coking coal. Every month the miners of Esaulskaya will produce about 180,000t of coal. Lava mining is scheduled to be completed in April 2024.
