Evraz expands railway wheel production again
Vertically integrated steelmaker and miner Evraz is launching another expansion of its railway wheel production at its flagship Nizhniy Tagil steel plant, the company tells Kallanish.
The $60 million capacity expansion investment will be applied to the forging, inspection and machining lines, increasing output by 78,000 wheels/year. It is scheduled for completiton in 2021.
